Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
